It exhibits two and three-dimensional art and craft by leading artists of the Southeast and, particularly, the Carolinas. Joining Luther Smith Associates, a prominent landscape design firm in Hendersonville, NC and Tanbark Landscape Company, a prestigious waterfall designer of Asheville, NC, Mountain Moss will be collaborating to create a natural landscape featuring indigenous plants of western North Carolina, including mosses, of course. We have a great site – just up the main entrance steps, your gaze stops at the giant bronze sculpture of a Cherokee encircled by a rock wall. Mark your June calendars to come see how we transform this space to reflect the life cycles of our forests.

TO SEE YOU IN JUNE!
HandMade: The Western North Carolina Craft, Architecture & Design Expo is a two-day event inviting the public to join artists, architects, builders and designers to share and learn about successful collaborations between craft artists, homeowners and industry professionals. Drawing from the tremendous craft resources that are a unique and vital part of Western North Carolina, the event will emphasize craftsmanship in architectural elements and design for both high-end and mid-range home markets.
HandMade in America is the nation's premier craft cooperative that originated in our mountains in 1993. Promoting regional crafts in the tradition of the mountain cottage industry, Handmade in America has provided an organizational and marketing support network that has boosted this industry as a significant income-generating contributor to our local economy with a whopping $206.5 million each year. It is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to grow handmade economies by creating tools, markets, and partnerships that honor craft, cultural heritage, and a spirit of community. Since its founding, HandMade in America's vision has been to make western North Carolina known nationwide as the center of the handmade object. As a native of WNC, I have watched Handmade grow under the vision and leadership of Becky Anderson and I've been proud of its success in the marketplace. I am honored to become part of this movement by participating in HandMade: The Western North Carolina Craft, Architecture & Design Expo. http://www.handmadeinamerica.org/designexpo/
